Hi

On converting an RGB with an Abode RGB profile, to greyscale, Photoshop
applies my greyscale chosen profile , a 17% dot gain.

Now when converting this greyscale to an duotone I lose the profile and
cannot convert to any profile as the menu is greyed out. (Very appropriate!)

So the questions are:

Is there a way the embed a profile into a spot colour based duotone, ideally
based on a greyscale profile?

What is Photoshop assuming as a profile when it is displaying a duotone
image?

And if a profile is not possible am I back to adjusting curves visually to
compensation for press conditions?

Regards

Paul Sherfield
