Newbie alert - Olympus P-400 printer

  • Subject: Newbie alert - Olympus P-400 printer

Hi all,
Here's a newbie question for you. I've downloaded a generic ICC profile for my Olympus P-400 printer (don't have the $$ to spend for a complete color sync solution - just a display calibrator). However, I cannot find any way in OS X Panther to associate this profile with my P-400 printer. I go in to the ColorSync utility, and it doesn't recognize my printer, and when I bring up the printer utilities, the ColorSync button is greyed out. I can associate color profiles with my other printers, just not the Olympus P-400.
I asked Olympus, and they said that I had to contact Apple support. :-(
I'm pretty certain that I could associate this profile with my printer in OS X Jaguar.

Thanks in advance!
/Stephen
