Hi All,
I need some help with finding a solution to a new problem I'm seeing. I
did spend a fair amount of time working towards building some decent
profiles for use with my Howtek 7500 drum scanner and Trident 3.5.5.
I now have three profiles that are working for me, they provide for
changes in the white point, darker for when I need additional detail in
the highlights, (still reviewing this one) a standard profile and one
that opens up the mids and shadows.
The issue I am having now though is with Trident's L*a*b* correction
tool. When any of these custom profiles built with basICColor Scan 2.1
is in use and I activate the L*a*b* correction tool I will have about
20 points of yellow show up as a base tint. It previews this way and
will also scan with the excess yellow. This does not even require any
move in the L*a*b* correction tool, just activation.
Howtek's own custom profiles will work fine with the L*a*b* correction
tool and so will other working space profiles. I can not seem to find
what the problem is with my new profiles. They work fine as long as I
don't turn on the L*a*b* correction tool but there are times when I
would like to use that tool.
Does anyone know what may be causing this and how I might be able to
fix this part of my custom profile?
Thank you,
David Wollmann
