thanks for the link, glad to know that there is some system misbehavior occurring. The end result is that the owner of this computer went to one of the genius bars at an Apple store today, and they created a new user/library and now the unfortunate owner of the blighted computer is in the middle of transferring everything (hopefully everything except for the offending object).
