Opening the pictures with Photoshop CD opens a window telling me the
photo has an srgb-Profile.
Running the apple-script "Show profile info" with the same picture
tells me there is NO profile embedded.

There isn't an ICC profile in the image, but there is a four character EXIF tag for "sRGB". This EXIF tag is found in all images from digital cameras. Photoshop 7 originally would treat the existence of this EXIF tag the same as an embedded ICC profile, and on import you'd see Photoshop saying there's an embedded sRGB profile. There's an update for Photoshop to keep it from treating the EXIF tag as an embedded profile.
