Useful in the same way that including driver settings, media type setting,
paper and inkset used, etc is helpful in naming an ICC inkjet profile.
Personally I'd like to see a tag for such data, and standard data formats for it for
assorted common device types to make the data as universally useful as possible.
For instance, it would be possible for selection of a profile with such
metadata to automatically set the correct media type, color, and resolution
settings in a driver, if one checked the "use settings from profile" checkbox. It
would be much like having the monitor profile set the video card curves for you
on the Mac OS today. Imagine having a printer profile simplify your settings,
instead of complicating them.
