Sure, a few cons. If you're printing to, say, Epson Luster, many of your
original yellows and greens may fall out of gamut, thus your prints won't take
full advantage of the printer's gamut. Depends on your source images and what
you shoot. Below is a link to a quickie comparison I did for someone
comparing the 3-D gamuts of AdobeRGB and ProPhotoRGB to Epson Premium Luster. Your
milage may vary. ;-)
