Leaving ICC and considering color workflow, Workstream and the
m-photo app both allow user adjustments in over/under and casted
corrections. Compare this to the video analyzer and correction values
concept of analog. This is still a critical part of dealing with
photographer's images.
How much does a digital minilab cost? It is pragmatic to spend under
$1000 per year to bypass Photoshop for productivity. (Workstream has
both the correction functions and ICC support) m-photo is a $5000
outright purchase. (m-photo does not offer ICC support and would
require an addition of a batch product like GM iQueue). Both
Workstream and m-photo offer fast and efficient corrections for
errors in exposure.

ZBE's Workstream is "rented" for $995 a year and Chromira ownership isn't
required. It used to be free with a Chromira (might still be), but they now
make it available to anyone with a digital lab: Frontier, Agfa DLab,
Noritsu, etc.
It's a lot to pay if one only has to convert files to a printer space. A PS
action will do that just fine, and that's how we do it here. I'm considering
Workstream to replace Agfa's software, but for reasons other than handling
color spaces.
