I don't know if I would? Frankly, if their 'system' is working why try to
change it? In other words, if they are having success with their present
'method' with their printer you have to be very careful what you tell them
because you may end up with the blame for something they or their printer
won't understand. If I were you or them, I'd first study how are they
getting the color results they are getting as in some kind of audit. Then
you can see where the opportunities of changes are. And start making some
small incremental chages or tests, to gain credibility. Later, when you
proved your point they will listen to you with their ears wide open.
