Some people have good success with the basic ColorChecker II and that's what
I always suggest as a way to get started cheap in dc profiling. I can
remember getting good color from this target and Picto's inCamera Plug-in. I
also got good color with basICColor Dcam and this target. I have the DC
target too (how expensive!) but I have not had the chance to test it
extensively. GMB, Monaco and Fuji ColourKit support it directly. I also got
the mini ColorChecker target. Got it from Chromix. Got it in the hope of
working around the problem of uniformly lighting the target which is an
important prerequisite for any successful dc profiling.
