If I print a CMYK image from Photoshop using a print profile created for an
Epson 1280 printer the color is pretty darn close.
If I embed the same image in a Quark6 document and then print it using
Acrobat 6 Distiller the 'on screen' image is pretty good. But printing from
Acrobat using the same print profile looks terrible.
Adobe suggests that color management is now consistant across all its apps,
so that suggests what I'm doing should work. No?
If I then open the same PDF in Photoshop and compare it to the original
image I note that the CMYK values are almost spot on and it prints just
fine using Photoshop's 'print with preview / color management / source ->
print profile' method.
The file's CMYK numbers seem to be correct, but Acrobat does not print them
with the print profile in the same way as PS does... WHY?
Thanks :-)
