If I may return to Negative land for one brief second:
Following suggestions and experiments, so far I find that best way to
scan negative film with my desktop scanner is as positive film and
then invert manually in PS. The remaining issue is, how do I wind up
in my typical AdobeRGB working space with this process? I have
scanner profiles, but they are all for positive films, so I don't
know what to assign to this scan.
Actually, even if negative film is automatically inverted at scan
time, the same question arises: what's the best way to get the scan
into a working space?
(I want to do this so that I can then edit in PS and apply my printer
profiles to these images...)
Thank you.
Armand
