Dear group,
I'll be glad to have your help or be able to find some information about
this issue: I own a Canon BJC-8500 and there's no driver for Mac OSX (10.3.2
- I tried gimp, but loosing some useful options). So I'm printing from
Photoshop 7 (converting to printer ICC in PS, no other conversion in the
driver) running in Classic environment -- I made a couple of profiles before
to switch to OSX.
My question is: what OSX is supposed to do with this workflow? Is it acting
behind the scenes, or does it simply let the things be as they used to?
Reading the "Epson No Color Adjustment Experiment" thread, I confess, I've
become more and more suspicious! I had to make new profiles, but ignoring
the OS behaviour I can't be sure they would work (BJC8500 with GE inks is
very unstable printer, so it's difficult for me to find what's wrong, when
and why, and try to fix it)
Thanks in advance for your help and, above all, to you all for writing here
every day.
Davide Barranca
