Hi Jim,
In Best Colorproof you have 2 Profiles:
1. Reference Profile, your Input Profile which describes the Colors to be
simulated
2. paper Profile, the color gamut of the Inkjet (output device).
If you try to edit one of the profiles you have to select the correct side
for editing
Reference profile => A2B (CMYK/RGB to PCS)
Paper Profile => B2A (PCS to CMYK)
Also you need to select the correct Render Intent, many Profiling Tools use
as default the Render Intent "perceptual" for editing, but for proofing you
use normally "absolute colorimetric" or "relative colorimetric". If you
don't change the Render Intent inside your Profiling software you can't see
any changes inside the proof.
