I've done this, and the profile created from the 10,500-patch target
was modestly better than the one the one from the TC9.18. But I used
the ICColor to do the measurements, which only took about an hour.
The biggest difference I saw was that the Logo Colorful mapping
worked a lot better with the large patch count.
Maybe worthwhile for a stable process like an inkjet, with a paper
you really, really like.

Has anyone seen any benefit to creating a high patch count chart for
profiling inkjet printers? Seeing as it would take nearly 12 hours for our
Spectroscan to read a 10K patch chart I'd be interested in hearning if it
was worth it or offered any benefit before I embark on this journey.
