How fast are Epsons stable after unpacking?

Many thanks for the replies to my RIP question - the field is down to
Best Photo Edition and Colorburst. I've installed the Colorburst software
and am going to testdrive it, Efi is going to send me a demo version of
the Best RIP.

The Epson 4000 has also arrived today, so we're set to go. One small
question about the Epson: ar they stable right out of the box? I need to
make custom profiles (for Best proofing paper) and am not sure if I can
start making profiles right away, or if I should let the printer run a
decent batch of prints first to let it stabilise?

Thanks, Wim
