preflight check on jpeg files - suggestions?

Hi,
I admit this is a bit off topic but ...
Does anyone know of a pre-flight app that can examine jpeg files to
determine whether they are baseline, baseline optimized, or progressive?
Possibly this is an option that is triggered when the image is captured by
a digital camera?
