Thanks for the reply,
Answers to your questions:
RGB Profiles, dye inks, Rel Colorimetric.
Profiling options: Large Profile, Logo Clasic or Chroma Plus (both
produce a similar weakness in the blacks, especially in the red
channel).
If I compare the canned profile and the custom profile for this paper
in ColorThink and examine the Curves in Rel Col intent, the canned
profile curves all finish at 0 black, in my custom profile, the red
and neutral curve seem to finish at about 5-6 (if the scale is 100L
units?) while the green and blue finish at about 0 and 1 respectively.
In the gamut map, the custom profile black point maps higher that the
canned profile.
The soft proof is pretty close to the printed output (which is the
whole point) but I am curious about the differences in the black point
of the two profiles.
Regards
Simon
