What I'm envisioning is that a URL-based embedded profile is read
automatically (of course new software would have to support it), track
down the profile using the URL, download a single copy of it, and
associate it with all objects claiming it as the source profile. It
would be totally transparent to the user unless they didn't have an
internet connection.

Interesting concept Chris, but I don't think it will fly. To
complicated. So what happens when your ISP breaks? Stop doing work?
