There is a setting in the OS X driver for the Canons that allows you to
choose "none" as a color correction option, so there is no difficulty with that.
Custom profiling at this setting works very well. Using the ColorSync Utility
(which is not one of my recommended printing methods anyhow) allows for a wide
range of profiles with an Epson (one per media type) only one profile for a
Canon, and none for many HP inkjets. But given other issues with this workflow,
these limitations don't matter much to me.
