"My prints are coming out way off color and I was wondering whether any one
ever had any problems with a bad batch of Epson Ultrachrome ink? I use
Colorsync to manage color in Photoshop CS running on Mac OS 10.2.8. My
source image is imbedded with my monitor profile and my print space
references the same as source. This has been working great giving me very
pleasing prints on Epson photo paper from my Epson 2200. Now, after changing
a few of the Epson 2200 ink cartridges, my prints have gone awry. They lack
shadow depth and the colors are way off. Any suggestions or feedback would
be appreciated."

Thanks

Are you using "real" Epson ink cartridges? I tried the so-called
"guaranteed compatible cartridges, and they do not have the same chip in
them that identifies the ink batch. The resulrt are awful. Going back to
genuine Epson cartidges solved the problem.
