The people you are talking about are the people who still think
LinoColor scanners scan CIEL*a*b* and other peoples' scanners only
scan RGB -:).
If that were indeed the case, it would be a non-issue. The people I'm
talking to are the ones who can tell the difference between a pink
screen shot and a gray one, who can tell the difference between flat
lifeless shadows and rich ones containing color and detail, who can
tell the difference between lowest-common-denominator printing and
premium-quality work. A great many of them are also trying to make
late-binding workflows work.
They aren't Luddites, and they know how to make and use profiles.
They just aren't blind.
