Regarding those of you who are using ColorBurst and ImagePrint RIPs
with the
Epson 2200, are the prints more accurate using the profiles supplied
with
the RIPs vs. Epson's canned profiles and print drivers, or are you
building
custom profiles from within the RIPs to achieve accuate color?
The canned profiles by and large produce superior output compared to
the
Epson driver with their canned profiles. I however build my own
profiles for
use with ImagePrint because I get even better quality color. For their
special Grayscale mode, I use the supplied profiles which do an
excellent
job.
Epson has released new custom profiles for the 2200 built with
ProfileMaker Pro 4.1.5. They are available in the announcements section
of the Epson USA web site. I'd be curious if anyone who has tried them
can compare to canned profiles from other RIP products.
