I agree. This also gives him or her the opportunity to use that profile
with their CTP if necessary, by assigning it to the files in the CTP
workflow. I guess it is about figuring out the cost of making a good press
profile and then weighing that cost of trying to get the CTP to match the
old setup.
And I think that it would be valuable for this printer to try and define
their dot gain in the film to plate and in the printing process. Then they
will know where their process is at and how to compare it to their CTP.
