Hi Jon,
Why couldn't they open in my Working Space without manually converting
to their working space. Isn't this what we are striving for? Once
opened they could convert to their proofer or press flavor of CMYK
right?
What am I missing here.
This may be a little off the subject but it just so happens that Im
dealing with a photographer that we were paying to color correct all
of the photos that he is taking for us. After we get them we are
having to go back after the conversion process and color correct them
again.
From your background, do you have any incite on this subject?
I think it is on topic. But again, if the photographer is CM'd, and
you provide him with a proofer or press profile, why would one need to
go back and forth.
Again, I am probably missing something. Please share a bit more.
In my case earlier the designer was simply dropping in an AdobeRGB into
Quark 4.1 and finding terrible results. We are now having them Convert
the originals to US Web Coated SWOP v2 and they are printing just fine.
