All profiles work on top of a calibration or reference point. When
changing the driver for your scanner, you likely changed the
"gradation" which is a gray balance and brightness calibration. The
old profile may not represent the scanner under the new conditions.
Please check to see if you have an ability to create/load custom
calibrations. This is not an ICC profile, but rather an RGB
brightness control of sorts.
