Greetings all,
My color management has been limited, for the most part, to RGB in a digital photo lab printing to a Durst Lambda and Kodak RP-30, softproofing with the output profile in Photoshop. Convert to output profile - print, pretty straight forward. I have been asked to help a CMYK business get their color under control. They use a Canon 1140 printer with a Kodak Matchprint Professional Server as the RIP. Their final prints come from two main printers and they have had someone come in and set them up with two device link profiles for the printers, and their proofs match the printers to an acceptable standard.
Since device link profiles are new to me, my question is this: How does one softproof in Photoshop using a device link? They want their Canon proofs to match their monitors (which are calibrated and profiled).
Any help or info on where to find out more about device link profiles would be most appreciated.
