Mark,

if you call the ColorEyes logo a major improvement, you may be right. Being the manufacturer of basICColor display, we can assure you that both products are based on calibration and profiling algorithms licensed from Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), the makers of Remote Director. Having said that, you can imagine that the profiling is not much different from the one in Remote Director.
We will continually improve the product - we just added DDC-CI support for the NEC-Mitsubishi 2180 monitors - and I do not hknow, if and when future improvements will make it into the OEM versions. We will launch the original basICColor display software in the U.S. soon, and if you keep your eyes open, you will also find other OEM versions in the market. Jon is our rep for the U.S. and he can tell you where you can buy basICColor products from (basICColor catch as a free measure software, optional modules for quality control of proofs and for offset certification, basICColor print for profiling RGB and CMYK printers and basICColor scan+ and dcam).

Best regards,
Karl Koch

Jon,

Maybe I was missing something, but I don't see where Mark was asking about
new monitors, just software and an appropriate instrument. As for basICColor
Display, I believe that ColorEyes Display is the US version with a few
differences (read: improvements). --Mark
