As Andrew replied, X-Rite's ColorShop X has as one of its features, an app
called
Rich Black. From memory, I think it is possible to download CSX and use it
in demo
mode for a few times.
Rich Black works by allowing the user to select either a device RGB or CMYK
printer profile which it then 'converts' the colour numbers into neutral
RGB or CMYK
equivalent numbers. So the better your colour device profile is, then the
better the
resultant Rich Black profile will be.
I think it a really useful tool.
