Hi Jim,
just giving my two cents.
As the Creo Spectrum is a proofer for at least offset printing,
it should be capable of a higher yellow density.
What you could try:
Measure the densities of C,M,Y in Status E, this is the european
standard.
The european standad weights the densities that c,M and Y nearly have
the
same values (in practice, yellow is nearly ever a little bit lower)
The three values should be in the same range (Ex 1.2 +- 0.3).
If not, yellow is much to low.
