I agree with you Roger that Tyler should just leave the images in betaRGB
instead of converting to A98 for no other reason than to be 'compliant'.
However, I don't agree with your following statement " I find AdobeRGB no

Agreed that most users do not alter the original color settings in
Photoshop and leave them as "web default" which uses sRGB and only alerts
during a profile mismatch. IMO it is safer to deliver RGB files in sRGB as
other users are likely to have 'web default' chosen. In this scenario,
untagged images will assume sRGB and tagged images won't set of the
mismatch warning and be rendered correctly as well. It's not perfect but
not bad logic either.
That being said...I deliver RGB files for print in BigTopStudioRGB.icc
(which is just 1.8 gamma BruceRGB) along with opening instructions and a
profile.
