When viewing gradation and dot gain curves yielded from
spectral data within MeasureTool, it appears that the values are arrived at by applying
the Murray-Davis equation using DIN density values. There’s doesn’t
appear to be a way to change the filter standard to Status T for viewing these
curves. When you view the optical density tab, you can change filter standard,
but this doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the gradation curve
calculation. This doesn’t seem to make a huge difference for most of my
data, but in this case, MeasureTool is reporting 20% gain in yellow, whereas I’m calculating 17% from the same density data
exported in status T. There isn’t a way to change the filter standards
for these curves that I’m not aware of is there?
