Very true. Many of the big magazines do sheet fed covers that are assembled
with the interior web page folds.
The best person here that has recently tried to bring some of the big
printers into a better , friendlier ICC world would be Elie Khoury. I
believe he did some work for Maury's web press. Hopefully he'll chime in
here with some reflections on their expected behaviour and adherence to ISO
standards.
