Most "digital printers" try to simulate offset printing in order to avoid

For communication between the unknown customer and the unknown printer,
the use of testfiles is advised. The printer can run a check in no time.
He can print the file on its contract-proofer. If the client is satisfied
with the result then the files are ok for press/digital press.

Hi,
If you download the Visual file Altona Test Suite Application Kit
(www.altonatestsuite.com)
and ask the printer to output you will have a great tool to compare
the output results.
The Altona Kit cost money but one of the files (Visual) is free for
download and testing.
The Test Kit is the best tool to test your RIP and the printers RIP.
All kinds of test patches and fonts are part of the Kit.
So overprint problems, fontproblems, RGB-CMYK transformation problems
can be traced.
