HI,
We are upgrading our current set of Phillips CRT monitors. We were
looking at replacing them with LaCie electron22blueIV CRTs but have been
told that these monitors are unavailable in New Zealand. The supplier
suggested the photon20visionII LCD monitors as an alternative. Our
primary task is creating digital facsimiles of our heritage collections,
which include glass plate and film negatives, colour transparencies,
photographs prints along with watercolours, drawings and prints.

I have previously understood that LCD's still did not match CRT's for
dot pitch, tonal graduation, and colour gamut. I'd be very interested in
hearing from anyone how is using the photon20visionII LCD and what there
experience of this display is. Or if anyone has any opinion regarding
using LCD's in a situation such as ours.
Regards
Stephen.
