You could save some money and possibly get superior quality buying a
higher end 19" Eizo.

As far as I can tell this is the same monitor as the ColorEdge 19 minus
the built in hardware calibration. Since you already have calibration
gear it could be a good choice. I think it's best to either go all the
way, ColorEdge, or get something good while keeping an eye on price.
You can't expect a LCD purchased today to last like your PressView. The
technology is evolving to quickly. We recently purchased 4 ColorEdge
LCDs at work, for home use I bought a 17 inch L568. All of them perform
well, though they do have a different look from a CRT.

It is finally time to retire my venerable old Radius PressView
monitor. I
am doing color critical photographic imagery in Photoshop, and
calibrate all
of my monitors with the Eye-One and Eye-One Match. I am considering
the
LaCie 321, Eizo FlexScan L885, or an Apple Cinema Display. Any advice
or
experience you can share, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
