Subject: Problems with a Xerox
DC3535
Hi to all, my name is Giovanni
and I've got a problem with a Xerox docucolor 3535, with a Fiery
EX3535 here in the office: we do pre-press so we need it to be always
accurate (also because we want to made printings ISO certified), but we
find it very difficult: for the Iso certification infact we use the Techkon
Spectrodens and we found that placing the color strip to check on different
places on the sheet, the ∆E can change a lot, so that we have one of
those strips Iso, while all the others aren't right .
But that's not the only thing:
after finding a good calibration we can only make about 50 prints, and after
we've got to calibrate it again. So we linearize the printer using a Efi ES
1000 (same as Gretag Eye One), but after a while it's the same history
again.
We changed the drum cartridge
hoping that it could change our situation, but nothing. Xerox assistance told
us that for both problems it was the position of the printer and something
about the fact that there is too much electrostatic charge in the air: as the
space here in the office isn't too much, if we change position of the printer,
we should move quite everything around, so I'd like to know if other people
are facing the same problem and if there are solutions.
Thanks,
Giovanni
