A while back, someone on the list mentioned having success with profiling
Backlit Film media on top of their light box with a spectrolino.
If I placed a target on top of a 2ft' by 2'ft display box that final prints
were destined for and read the patches with an eye-one in reflective mode
(as if it could do something else <grin>), would anyone guess this to work
'reasonably' well? I figure the worst thing that could happen is the light
isn't even all over the surface but I'd still get closer that reading on
white paper.
I'd like to try that method and reading the patches with a white backing
and if needed, adjusting rip curves after building a profile. Any thoughts
on either of these methods? the media is on the [diluted] milky side.
Does anyone know the approximate ambient light temp of a typical Duratrans
box?
