Have you tried to run your EyeOne Pro through the EyeOneDiagnostics utility?
It is freely downloadable on the GretagMacbeth site at
<http://www.gretagmacbeth.com/mac/index/products/products_color-mgmt-spec/pr
oducts_cm-for-creatives/products_eye-one-photo/products_eye-one-photo_softwa
re.htm>.
You should be able to use it to assess whether or not your unit passes a
number of standard tests (dongle test, button test, calibration test,
emission test, dark measurement, noise measurement, lamptest, reflectance
test). For each test you get a clearly worded result ("pass" or
"successful," etc.).
You can also save the results in a diagnostic log, if you wish, so that you
can keep a record of your device's state at any one time, or share the
results with the GretagMacbeth technical support team.
It would be interesting to see what results you get if you put your EyeOne
spectrophotometer through the EyeOneDiagnostics routine. Please let me know
the results if you do.
Best of luck to you.
