As long as your Color Prefs in Photoshop are correct> i.e., say US prepress
defaults set CMYK to Sheetfed, then it should be fine. If you accidentally
checked desaturate colors by X percentage you would have had flat images.
Often a well scanned image only shows slight differences in the dark areas
as the darkest of tones on Sheetfed will not match the image rgb dark tones.
It's not a huge difference and one that requires you to have dim lighting in
the room to see the differences.
