I agree, there needs to be some sort of instruction for the large number of
us who are getting into colour management but then hit this wall beyond
which there is no public info. I've bought the all the books but they just
don't touch this area of profile editing.
I'm surprised that the colour management companies don't do something with
this, they'd clearly benefit with increased software sales imo. Given the
rapid growth of sales in eye one and xrite etc tools/software being sold, i
think this is a market whose time is here.
It doesn't have to be done for free. Somebody with what cabbies in London
refer to as "The Knowledge", pls consider a web site with commentary and
screen shots or quicktime movies using a paypal pay for view proceedure. It
would be much more financially viable for the author than writing a book
where one makes little money.
