Hi
Can I just ask a quick question regarding the bestlin tool, version
5.01 of Bestcolr? I have made a number of profiles for a 9600 using the
bestlin and an i1pro. The process seems straightforward with the only
decision required being the total inklimit in the first step. In my
first attempt I left the limit at 400% and got a pretty wet print. The
instructions seem to suggest lowering the limit until there is no
bleeding. Say for a 250gsm smooth matt paper I lowered it to 250%. I
read the resulting strip and the RIP set the limit to 166%. I assume
the strip shows no detectable separtation after this point. I then go
onto the next stages where there is no interaction, just measuring. The
resulting profiles made with this baselin look fine, I just wondered if
I am doing the first step correctly and getting the most ink on paper
that I can. Is there any procedure to setting the limit initially or is
it just trial and error?
Thanks to all
Simon
