What L* value are you getting for your calibrated Total Ink Limit? I
calibrated today at 215% and yet the red, green and blue patches were wet. I
let them dry but cut the ink channel down at Step 3 (or is it Step 2?) to
prevent overinking. Anyway, since BEST changed their linearization routine
between 4.6+ and v5, and up, I find we cannot lay as much ink as we used to
do through the old linearization procedure. That's my exerience. Are you
finding your 400% ink in Step 1 gives you an L* value above 12, 14, 16? Have
a look at your characterization target and locate the 400% ink patch.
