We have begun finger printing our new press as of late
and have come up against some issues we have seen take
place during live jobs as well. We are getting
considerable gains on press on our yellow separation.
We are running 175/L using eliptical composed dot from
a Creo trendsetter, but the screening information is
coming from a 1-bit tiff work flow out of a Xitron
Rip. On our cyan, mag, and black seps we are getting a
dot frequency of 183 lpi while on our yellow we are
getting a 201 lpi. This brings question as to this
being the cause for our gains in yelo. I know when you
output a 175 you do not get a 175 and I know the
reason behind that but I guess I never seen such a
spead in lpi differences. Just curious if anyone else
is using a similar work flow and if they have the same
situation.
