RE: Camera Profiling Software
RE: Camera Profiling Software
While Aperture may not support custom input profiles (it seems to be tied
purely to the default profiles selected in
the Colorsync Utility preferences), there is a new multi-target application
available from basICColor. It functions in
the concept of chicken wire and fine mesh with the Gretag Macbeth
ColorChecker DC providing a general range of
color/gamut, and a second custom target of user-selected
paints/pigments/photo dye/etc as a more specific "fine
mesh" in building a camera profile.
Hope this helps

Subject: Camera Profiling Software
Just looking for feed back on some Camera profiling
software. We are looking to get into this alittle and
curious what others are using. I have used Incamera
Professional about 4 years ago and that seemed to be
OK. We have Gretag Macbeth Profile Maker 5.0 but do
not have the camera profiling modual. So I was looking
for input on that as well. Also seen the new Apple
Aperture but that does not appear to really be a
profiling software. Any suggestion will be
appreciated.
