I do not wish to sound either testy or combative, but I find these
unspecified reports ("I have read that the EyeOne has quite a bit of a
drift...") quite unhelpful.
I say: let's see the numbers and the specifics, and then we will be able to
see how bad it really is and talk about it intelligently.
Obviously I do not expect my EyeOne Pro to be more than it is: it's a
relatively low-priced spectro that does A VERY GOOD JOB FOR THE MONEY.
Does it drift? OF COURSE. I do not need either unattributed gossip or a
non-specified paper article to tell me that.
Are higher-priced spectrophotometers or spectroradiometers more precise? OF
COURSE.
I don't expect my Toyota Camry to perform like a BMW either, you see...but
it takes me around to where I need to go. And that is good enough for me.
Others may have needs that call for a BMW, but I am happy with my Toyota.
Best regards.
