How do you know it's not going to cost "an arm and a leg"? Are you privy
to
info we don't have?
No- certainly not. I only know what happens if I have to explain complex
effects of various reasons
to my customers, which often happens after I was called to repair what
already has gone wrong.
They have often spent a little fortune already and many if not all has
failed. Now I analyze the situation and as
you probably know, even if you are trying to strictly offer your time only
on a paid basis, you will have to search
for the varioust shortcomings at the most feared dungeons of
photography,colormanagement and workflow.
Very often the word is responsibility at a third party, who is going to pay
and for what ?
As soon as there are broad defacto standards everything that is leaving
these standards we got a shure target for responsibility.
Right now you may find yourself with 5 other Experts with 7 opinions how to
do the job that may be offered simultaniously...... very refreshing.
Then we have the discussion who is the better expert.... did you not see
there was a new recommendation of... at... because of....
I have used ISO standard version XXX Adepsonogra version xyz of last
month...., Oh no there was a new sheet roll fed special
introduced last week but we use our house standard anyway, which we cannot
send you unfortunately as ICC as we use GMG,
why don´t you buy one....
I´m sick and tired of this and so are my customers.
I have read the WCS doc very carefully and it seems to me, somebody at MS
and Canon has listened to us.
Knock yourself out, man...
Marco- I´m with the interests of my Customers, only this keeps me up and
running, maybe call this oldfashioned, but to me this is the only way.
Only an elephant like Microsoft can kick an industries butt of this size.
Thank you MS - I hope it hurts !
