Hi Paul

Yes indeed!  Spamming is unfortunately an epidemic from Forums and the like.  This list is in the public domain.
I get so much spam, it is impossible to know, from whence it comes.  One of the drawbacks of having had the
same main email address for over 8 years.
Many other forums are web-based and require login and password and often now have an image with a code in
which you have to type.
I wonder if this list could do something.  Apple, are you listening?  Could the email addresses be encrypted?
Perhaps they can and I'm missing something.  On my website, my email address is in the form of _javascript_,
(generated by a utility called SpamStopper) so is visible to humans, who can click on it as normal, (if they have Java enabled), but not to Robots.  Works so far, mostly.
Cheers

I posted a question last week and signed mentioning my website. Got
kind and helpful assistance from genuine members, but also got 30
"undeliverable email notices" in two days and they are still flowing in.
They were not identified by my provider's spam filter. Someone has been
using my home page address with many fake sub email addresses to
spam-send probably hundreds of email judging by the undeliverable rate I
got. My web site address could have been picked from anywhere, but I
just wonder as this is the only place I posted recently and I never got
that stuff in such profusion before, if some of you who mention their
website on the list have experienced web mail piracy from a stinky so
called dating website too? I guess it's like louses, we have to live
with them around, but we don't want them on our head! Sorry for the
irrelevant matter. (Would someone have the spam report website handy?)

Regards
Paul Schilliger
