To my knowledge, the "default" can not be changed. But I understand that
Photoshop gives the impression that we are actually "changing" the black
generation and other separation details of the currently selected CMYK ICC
profile when we switch to "custom CMYK" in the Color Settings. I always
undertood this as an either / or proposition: either we are using some ICC
profile or we're using Photoshop's old CMYK separation engine. But it's true
that the present interface leeds the user to believe that it's possible to
customize the separation details of the current ICC CMYK working space.
Yes? No?
