No, certainly. I do not expect ColorSync to work properly from within the driver. I use the controls within Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to effect proper and accurate conversions to my custom profiles.
It's more the case that I am trying to understand whether or not there is some kind of logic behind this type of driver design, or it's instead a jumble of half-baked features as far as color management is concerned, and I'm starting to believe that there are large enough gaps there to keep one away from it at a respectful distance, and not even try to use it that way.
